NYE Party Makeup Tutorial (Video)

It’s come to that time of year again, the time when I’ve eaten myself into oblivion and am now wondering how on earth I’m going to squeeze myself into that party frock for new year’s eve, thank heavens for control pants! Tmi? Sorry, I’m sure I’m not the only one. Ladies?!
The one thing I love the most about NYE is dressing up to the nines, if I’m heading out to a party I like to wear a dramatic makeup look. Well if you can’t go all out on this night, when can you?!
This year I’m opting for a deep purple smoky eye with matching dark plum lips. In this tutorial I show you how to achieve said makeup look.
What are you up to this new year’s? Whether it’s dancing the night away or chilling in your pj’s watching Jools Holland’s hootenanny (gotta love him), I hope you have a wonderful time!

My Week in a Vlog #2

The past week has been a rather relaxed one. My mum and I had a lovely day out to a quaint little town called Corbridge where we had a spot of lunch before walking around all the little shops and admiring their Christmas decorations. We also put our Christmas tree up and decorated it all twinkly and lovely, how very festive!

Nail Colours by Madam Glam

Clockwise from top: All Redy, Lime Martini, Hot Date, Look At The Stars, Text Me Later, Cote d’Azur

If you’re a long time reader of my blog then you’ll be aware that I’m a huge fan of a pretty mani’ pedi’. Recently I received this collection of nail polishes from Madam Glam and it contains some lovely wintery shades as well as a couple of brights. All of these polishes have an opaque cream finish, apart from ‘Hot Date’ which is the pink shade; this is still opaque but has a beautiful blue pearlescent finish. My favourite at the moment is the dark purple shade ‘Text Me Later’ as it just goes perfectly with the dark plum lip that I’ve been rocking recently!

All Redy – A classic pillar box red. This shade is a staple in any nail polish lover’s collection and a go-to colour for me at any time of the year.
Lime Martini – A slightly more ‘out there’ kind of colour, I think this would be nice in both spring and autumn time.
Hot date – The name says it all! A hot pink shade that will definitely be well loved once the warmer weather comes back around. A perfect one for the tootsies.
Look At The Stars – A navy blue shade that again, I think is just perfect for the wintertime.
Text Me Later – As I mentioned above, this is a gorgeous deep plum shade, it looks almost black on the nails but in good light you can definitely tell that is indeed purple. I love to put a glitter polish on an accent nail while wearing this, as the contrast looks really pretty and festive.
Cote d’ Azur – A beautiful teal shade.
